A little about me

I've always been an avid reader, a trait I've hoped to pass on to my children. I grew up reading Sherlock Holmes and Miss Marple books so it's kind of funny that my writing has taken the turn it has. In high school I wrote everything from romantic poems to short horror stories. I have quite an imagination.

I've been writing for about seven years, but where I once cleaned in between writing, I now write in between working and caring for my children and household. While there are ups and downs, I'm much happier writing, than not.

On a normal day I get up early for exercise class, and then, after a nice hot shower I get the kids ready for school (or camp in the summer). Work all day and then come home to start dinner, clean a little, and if I'm lucky....write.

I am very fortunate to have talented and caring friends and family who support me both in my personal life, and in my writing career. It's hard enough to work full-time and raise a family, so it seems selfish to write, but even my husband and children support me. They all know that it's something I need to do to be happy, and they like a happy me.

I am not as active online as I used to be, but I aim to be better about getting online, checking my email, and posting on my favorite groups and blogs.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I hope that you look around and check out the excerpts and free stories. When the mood strikes, I may even host a contest.
